The SHFC filtering compensation equipment mainly consists of multiple LC filtering branches composed of filtering capacitors, filtering reactors, and non inductive resistors, which are connected in parallel to the power grid where the nonlinear load is located nearby. Each filtering branch is designed based on the composition, magnitude, and reactive power requirements of harmonic currents. For harmonics, each filtering branch is equivalent to a low impedance channel, allowing most of the corresponding harmonic current to flow into this branch (as shown in the figure below), in order to filter out harmonic currents and reduce common point voltage and current distortion. At the same time, the device can provide capacitive reactive power to the system to improve its power factor. The device covers various voltage levels ranging from 3 to 35kV, with capacities ranging from hundreds of kilovolts to tens of thousands of kilovolts.
