Traditional lithium extraction process: The original brine undergoes steps such as salt field gradient evaporation and flotation to precipitate sodium chloride, sodium sulfate, and potassium chloride, becoming old brine. In this process, lithium ion loss reaches 70%, lithium yield is about 30%, resource utilization rate is low, investment is large, and construction period is long.
Adsorption+membrane lithium extraction process: using the lithium extraction adsorbent developed by Jiuwu High Tech and the rotating moving bed adsorption process, the raw brine enters the lithium extraction adsorption device, completing the separation and preliminary concentration of lithium ions and other cations in one step. The adsorption section produces two streams of brine, one stream of adsorbed tail brine seeps back into the salt field and dissolves salt again to produce brine, and the other stream of qualified lithium containing solution undergoes membrane purification and concentration to obtain lithium rich brine; Lithium rich brine can be electrolyzed through bipolar membranes to obtain a lithium hydroxide solution, which can then be recrystallized to obtain battery grade lithium hydroxide products; Lithium rich brine can also be crystallized and separated to obtain lithium chloride products through multi effect evaporation; Similarly, lithium rich brine can react with sodium carbonate to produce lithium carbonate products through lithium precipitation. The adsorption+membrane lithium extraction process can achieve diversification of salt lake products, with better investment and construction cycles than traditional lithium extraction processes for constructing salt fields.
