消气是原油贸易交接、分配计量、合同约定等工作中不可分割的重要环节。油品在输送管线和油罐间的泵进、泵出，停输后管线造成的负压真空吸入等，均会造成油品中含有一定量的气体，导致具有较高精度的流量计在计量时出现失准现象，因此在原油进入计量装置之前加装消气器是非常必要的。
天梯所研发生产的高效消气器可以分离管道流动介质中气体，过滤介质中杂质，从而保证流量计计量精度和延长流量计的使用寿命
目前石化行业所使用的消气设备和采样装置是独立单元，相互之间没有依存关系，实际上消气设备对于原油除了有消气作用外，还具有一定程度的混合作用，并基本消除了气体对液体的张力作用，这有助于水滴和较重固体颗粒在原油中分散均匀，使得采样装置获得更具代表性样品。
