Product information
Application The Wazau-SPT-Test-Device allows tests compliant to ISO9150/EN348 to examine the behavior of protective cloths on impact of small splashes of molten metal.
Principle A motor is continuously driving a steel rod into a acetylene/oxygen flame at a constant velocity. The rod melts on flame exposure. Drops of molten metal fall down into a funnel which leads to the specimen. The specimen is mounted on the vertical surface of a calorimeter. The initial temperature of the calorimeter has to be stored when the first drop hits the specimen. The continuously impact of molten metal drops causes a rising temperature on the calorimeter. The quantity of drops, which is needed to increase the calorimeter temperature by 40K ,is the significant result of the test.
