It continues all film production line businesses of Guilin Electrical Equipment Scientific Research Institute company and is now affiliated to China Natinal Machinery Industry Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. At present, GLESI has completed the design, manufacturing, and service of more than 180 types of film production lines. Guilin Electrical Equipment Scientific Research Institute Co., Ltd. is the first electrical science research institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, was established in Beijing in 1954 and is a national first-class scientific research institute. In the 1960s, in order to solve the insulation problems of electric motors and small capacitors and overcome the bottleneck technology of BOPET film ,Guilin Electrical Equipment Scientific Research Institute Co., Ltd. company together with Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology and other units, began research on biaxially oriented film production equipment. In 1970, some laboratories of the national first-class scientific research institute moved to Guilin and established Guilin Electrical Equipment Scientific Research Institute Co., Ltd. In 1973, the first testing line was successfully built, filling the gap in domestic biaxially oriented film production equipment. This testing line was awarded the "Science and Technology Major Contribution Award" in 1978 . In 1980, we built the first domestic 4.2-meter wide BOPP film production line, that achieves a leap from the testing line to the production line of domestically produced packaging film equipment; In 1983, the first domestic 0.4-meter-wide BOPI film production line was built, achieving a breakthrough of high-temperature insulation film materials in China; In 2003, the first domestic lithium battery separator production line was built, laying the foundation for the development of key separator materials for new energy batteries in China; In 2004, the first domestic 5.2 meters width BOPET film production line was built , and it was also the first time that the company achieved the ability to provide turnkey projects for customers. In 2007, the first domestic 6.7-meter-wide BOPP cigarette film production line was completed. The smooth operation of this production line marked a new level of advancement in the company's film equipment technology. In 2018, the company built the first domestic BOPI film production line with a width of 1.6 meters, which is currently the widest thermal BOPI film production line in China.In 2020, the company built the first domestic BOPP film production line with a width of 8.7 meters, and continued to invest in research and development to develop a BOPP film production line with a width of 9.1 meters. This marks that the company has the ability to compete with advanced foreign enterprises in the field of large-scale, high-speed, and wide width biaxial stretching film equipment technology. Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) Film Production Line
Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) production line consists of resin system, extrusion system, casting system, MDO, TDO, post- treatment, pull roll stand, winding system, slitting system and Integrated Process Control (IPC) system. It is used for producing various specified BOPP film with excellent mechanical and electrical performance, superb heat-resistance, cold-resistance, tightness and size stability. BOPP Film thickness is 15-40um, width 4.2-8.7m, and annual output is 5,000-40,000 tons. BOPP film is widely used as packaging material, electrical insulating material and other special purposed material (like Battery Separator Film and Synthetic Paper). Up to now, GLESI has offered more than 30 BOPP lines to our customer.
Biaxially Oriented Polyester (BOPET) Production line
Biaxially Oriented Polyester (BOPET) Production line consists of resin system, extrusion system, casting system, MDO, TDO, post-treatment, winding system, slitting system and Integrated Process Control (IPC) system. It is used for producing various specified BOPET film with excellent mechanical and electrical performance, superb heat-resistance, cold-resistance, tightness and size stability. Film thickness is 12-75um, width 3.3-6.7m, and annual output is 5,000-20,000 tons. BOPET film is widely used as base material, electrical insulating material, optical film and solar backsheet film. Up to now, GLESI has offered more than 30 BOPET lines to our customer.

Dry/Wet Method Biaxially Oriented Battery Separator Film Production Line
GLESI provides two methods of Producing Polyolefin Separator Film: Dry Method and Wet Method. Dry Method has two subdivided techniques: single axial Orientation and Biaxial Orientation. Dry Method single axial orientation technology first produce low crystallized, high orientated PP/PE film. After annealing, high crystallized and orientated film is achieved. The film will be orientated to micro-flaws in low temperature, then stretched to micro holes in high temperature. Wet Method is also called Thermally Induced Phase Separation (TIPS). First mix high boiling point hydrocarbon liquid or low molecular mass material with Polyolefin resins, heat the mixture and pour the melt on sheets, then lower the temperature to induce phase separation, then make orientation on the sheet in longitude direction or biaxial direction, last use volatile solvent extract the liquid. This technology can produce inter-connected micro hole film, and has a wide application on different materials. Battery separator film is widely used on various liquid Lithium batteries, like cell phone battery, laptop battery, electrical tool battery, automobile battery etc.
