The RUHSTRAT OLIVER AVC Voltage Optimizer operates as an on-line system, providing a new type of protection against unstable power supplies that corrects voltage excursions in real time (reaction time 140 μs, correction time <5 ms, typically 2 ms) and is much easier to integrate into an industrial facility than an UPS. Compared to UPS equipment, the short-circuit capacity of the grid remains essentially unchanged, and existing protective devices such as fuses and circuit breakers can continue to operate. Working principle:

The on-line voltage regulation system is composed of a rectifier, an inverter, a bypass protection thyristor switch, and an injection transformer. Whether in normal operation or when a voltage sag occurs, the system is online in real time. When a voltage sag occurs on the system side, the rectifier and inverter inside the equipment will generate a corresponding compensation voltage and inject it into the original power supply system through the injection transformer, thereby achieving the purpose of on-line regulation of voltage sags. When an internal fault occurs in the on-line voltage regulation system, the bypass protection thyristor switch will quickly (at the microsecond level) cut off the regulation system and isolate it from the power supply system.
