When using an isolation transformer, surge currents may occur repeatedly, and their values are generally many times the rated current value of the transformer. This situation can cause the transformer protection to trip. Transformer protection tripping is very dangerous for hospitals because many places in hospitals require a constant power supply.


Basic information: 

Amdar's AM206 surge current limiter is a product specifically designed for these sensitive places with high power supply requirements. It is specially applied in hospitals and clinics. The AM206 surge current limiter is used to reduce surge currents so that the current passing through the isolation transformer does not exceed four times the rated value of the transformer. Currently, the AM206 has two types of products: 

AM206-5I-30I (this model has six current specifications and two size specifications). 

AM206-40I-50I (this model has two current specifications and two size specifications).
