ISPR8 microcomputer protection and measurement control device

The ISPR8 microcomputer protection and measurement control device is suitable for feeder protection and measurement control in small and medium-sized distribution substations with voltage levels of 35kV and below. It is a complete set of digital protection unit integrating multiple functions such as protection, measurement, control, metering, monitoring and communication. It is an ideal electrical unit for intelligent switchgear and can meet the requirements of various cabinet types including load switch cabinets, load switch fuse cabinets and circuit breaker cabinets. Its product application can cover from ring main units to medium voltage switchgears. For different application occasions, the ISPR8 can be applied to lines, transformers, motors, capacitors, reactors and so on. It can also realize the function of distributed standby power supply automatic switching.
 

Functional features.

1）Protection.

The protection settings and switching on/off of various protection functions can be independently adjusted, and the switching on/off status and action signals of each protection can be displayed.

2）Measurement and control.

Measured electrical parameters include: 

● Current (Ia, Ib, Ic). 

●  Voltage (Ua, Ub, Uc, Uab, Ubc, Uca). 

●  Frequency (F). 

●  Active power (P), reactive power (Q), power factor (PF). 

●  Active electrical energy (Pwh, Qwh), reactive electrical energy (APh, AQh). 

—  The current circuit supports two-phase two-element and three-phase two-element wiring methods. 

—  The voltage circuit supports two wiring methods: star (Y/Y) and delta (V/V). According to the CT and PT transformation ratios and wiring methods, the primary side values and secondary side values are automatically calculated. 

—  The accuracy correction of each measured value is realized through software without changing the hardware.

3）Monitoring. 

The ISPR8 has perfect self-checking ability. If abnormal operation of the device is detected, an alarm signal will be automatically sent out. The self-checking contents include device parameters, settings, input power, A/D channels, clock chips, memory chips, etc. 

The ISPR8 has the status monitoring of 10 switching quantities, which can monitor various status quantities such as circuit breaker position, handcart working position, grounding knife position and non-electric quantity signals. 

The ISPR8 can monitor the operating conditions of the system online. If an abnormality is found, an alarm signal will be automatically sent out. The online monitoring contents include tripping circuit disconnection, CT disconnection, and PT disconnection.

4）Control

The ISPR8 supports local and remote control functions of circuit breakers. The local/remote control status can be controlled by external switching quantity input. It is equipped with the function of a three-phase operation box for circuit breakers and has hardware anti-bounce, holding and locking functions that are universal for AC and DC. It is not affected by the magnitude of the opening/closing operation current and is suitable for the interfaces of various circuit breakers.

 5）Event recording.

The ISPR8 can record 100 event records with time stamps. It can record various events related to system operation, such as protection actions, alarms, and switch displacements. The device automatically records the effective value of the fault quantity at the moment of action, automatically identifies the fault type and phase, and has a time resolution of 1ms. The records are not lost when power is off, providing a basis for fault analysis. 

6）Human-machine interface

The ISPR8 adopts a high-resolution graphic liquid crystal display (resolution of 160×160), menu-based design, and full Chinese display.

7）Communication

The device has one RS485 serial port for communication with the automation system, which is used for connection to the integrated automation system.
