SPR66 arc light protection system.

The SPR66 adopts a PC-type modular structure. On the basis of ensuring the standard configuration of arc light protection, it provides a variety of options such as I/O boards, communication boards, and arc light boards. It can continuously inspect all equipment in the system to ensure that the I/O unit and point sensor hardware in the system are normal and connected to the system normally. The arc light sensor uses a specially made photosensitive resistor, which is not sensitive to daily light and can effectively avoid interference from other lights except arc light. Arc light protection is a new type of protection device that quickly cuts off the power supply at the fault point by detecting fault arc light to avoid serious damage to the electrical equipment itself. It is a reasonable supplement to traditional microcomputer protection and can effectively protect fault conditions and dead zones that traditional microcomputer protection cannot protect.

Features of SPR66: 

Main unit SPR 60ARC: 

1) New protection concept: When electrical equipment fails, there is an arc light phenomenon. Arc light is the energy source that causes serious damage to electrical equipment. Making the duration of arc light as short as possible will essentially avoid damage to electrical equipment. 

2) Uninterrupted system self-inspection: The SPR 66 main unit can continuously inspect all equipment in the system to ensure that the I/O unit and point sensor hardware in the system are normal and connected to the system normally. 

3) Modular structure: The main unit adopts a PC-type modular structure. On the basis of ensuring the standard configuration of arc light protection, it provides a variety of options such as I/O boards, communication boards, and arc light boards. 

4) Cost-effective system solution: The main unit and expansion unit can form a comprehensive arc light protection system, or they can be used alone to configure an economical arc light protection system. 

5) Flexible expansion and upgrade: The distributed structure of the arc light protection system can add main unit boards, I/O units, and sensors at any time, and flexibly set system protection logic to meet the actual needs of the site. 

6) System structure design: In a multi-bus arc light protection system with more than two sections of buses, multiple main units are in an equal position in the overall system communication. And the main units are mutually redundant, meeting the redundancy requirements of protection and enhancing the reliability of the system. 

7) High-speed fault response: The arc light protection system optimizes the response speed on the basis of safety and reliability. It only takes 5-7ms from detecting arc light to relay trip output, which is much faster than the trip output time of traditional relay protection. 

8) Flexible logic programming function: Using MARCS setting software, customize protection logic according to on-site needs, which can meet various complex operation modes.

 

Composition of arc light protection system: 

Main unit SPR 66: 

  • Detection of two sets of three-phase current, zero-sequence current and zero-sequence voltage. 
  • PC modular structure for easy expansion and maintenance. 
  • Large LCD human-machine interface, system one-line diagram display, and support for Chinese menus. 
  • Standard configuration of five large-capacity high-speed trip contacts, six digital inputs, with two arc light sensor connections by itself, and an alarm contact with normally open and normally closed switching. 
  • Integrate event records, disturbance records, and fault waveform capture into the arc light protection system to improve the analysis ability of arc light phenomena and before, during, and after faults. 
  • Optional trip logic "arc light" or "arc light + current" double-criteria to ensure the rapidity and reliability of tripping. 
  • Two RJ-45 ports for connecting expansion units. 
  • RS485 communication port, Ethernet port and front panel USB port, supporting multiple protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus RTU/TCP, and IEC-103. 
  • Continuous self-inspection of all units and breaker failure protection function.

I/O unit SA12E: 

  • Four selective trip output contacts for specified sensors. 
  • Three trip mode options. 
  • Connection of 12-point sensors. 
  • Sensor self-inspection. 
  • Sensor channel and trip relay action indication. 
  • Two RJ45 ports for interconnection between the main unit and the I/O unit. 
  • Comes with an RS485 communication port and supports the MODBUS communication protocol. 
  • Can work independently to realize the criterion trip mode selection of "arc light" or "arc light + current".

Arc light sensor AS01: 

  • Action when light intensity > 8000 Lux. 
  • Detection range of 270°. 
  • Meet the vibration requirements of IP61. 
  • Patented technology is not sensitive to daily light sources.
