Temperature rise and explosion-proof system

The SATEC SPR63 series switchgear temperature rise early warning arc explosion-proof system continuously monitors the temperature at the connections of busbars, moving and static contacts of circuit breakers, cable heads, etc. in the switchgear. When the temperature at each connection exceeds the set value due to heating, the system will issue a temperature alarm signal to effectively prevent temperature rise faults in the switchgear. At the same time, an arc sensor is installed in the cable compartment. The arc sensor is directly facing each connection point and is used to detect arc light signals. When an arc occurs, the fault source can be cut off within 7 milliseconds, minimizing the damage of the arc light to the equipment. The protection action logic of the entire system can be programmed by the three criteria logics of "temperature", "overcurrent", and "arc light". In a very short time, the arcing fault caused by normal heating and aging or sudden reasons can be removed, fully realizing the temperature rise early warning and arc explosion-proof function of the switchgear.

Host:

The host mainly includes the SPR63-T temperature rise explosion-proof main unit and the SPR63-C temperature data concentrator.
SPR63-T:

■  Compact in size, rail-mounted.

■  100-240V ac/dc power input.

■  Three-phase voltage, two-phase current + zero-sequence voltage monitoring.

■  Connection for 2 contact sensors.

■  Can collect signals from 12 wireless temperature sensors.
■  2 large-capacity trip output contacts.

SPR63-C:

■  Compact in size, rail-mounted, insulated and sealed.

■  100-240V ac/dc power input.
■  Maximum of 256 contact sensors.

■  2 large-capacity output contacts.

■  Communication interface: RJ45, RS485.

Temperature measurement terminal:

The temperature measurement terminal is composed of an induction power-taking unit, a temperature measurement unit, a control unit, and a wireless transmission unit. The shell is made of high-temperature-resistant flame-retardant material and sealed by insulating material. It has the advantages of small size and light weight.

 

Technical characteristics:

LoRa wireless communication:

LoRa long-distance radio. Its greatest feature is that it can transmit over a longer distance than other wireless methods under the same power consumption conditions, achieving the unity of low power consumption and long distance. Under the same power consumption, its communication distance is 3-5 times longer than that of traditional short-range radio frequency communication. Advantages of LORA wireless transmission technology: strong transmission signal and long distance (15km transmission in open areas without obstruction), strong penetration (16-meter transmission diameter with strong obstruction).

 

Characteristics of passive wireless temperature sensor:

■  Self-induction power taking, maintenance-free for 10 years

■  The device is only 9.5mm thick, and the installation is convenient and the location is unrestricted.
■  The sensor is directly installed on the moving contact to ensure the accuracy of the measured value.

■  The sensor adopts LORA Internet of Things transmission technology, improving the transmission effect of the device.

■  The material of the device is lightweight and weighs only 30g. The protection level is high (IP67), and the use environment of the device is unrestricted.
