A complete product chain is developed，the products are widely used in more than ten fields including geology, coal, petroleum, metallurgy, nonferrous metals, nuclear industry, national defense, military industry, construction, water conservancy, hydropower, transportation and environmental protection,and developed in intelligence, information and advance, high-grade high-precision as well as advanced technology.
We have the "State Identified Enterprise Technology Center" in the geological equipment industry, built advanced ultra-low magnetic laboratory and electronic test laboratory, The "Deep Geological and Mineral Exploration Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" declared and submitted by our company，has been listed one of the third-batch alliance test unit. The Alliance contains 17 units, including four universities and colleges, research institutes, eight science research institutes or centers , three provincial bureaus and 2 enterprises. These 17 units are with an important role in deep geological mineral exploration industry. CGE bears the main responsibility for the external as the director-general of the Alliance, and the establishment of a permanent secretariat and other institutions for organizations working.
Brand Development History
Establishment Background and Early Development (1950s - 1980s)
In the 1950s, to meet the demands of geological exploration and mineral resource development, the state began to establish a geological equipment manufacturing system, and some local factories were transformed into specialized geological equipment manufacturing plants.
In the 1960s and 1970s, with the expansion of geological exploration scale, a number of backbone enterprises in geological equipment production gradually emerged in China, such as "Zhangjiakou Prospecting Machinery Factory" and "Hengyang Prospecting Machinery Factory", etc. These enterprises later became core members of China Machinery Industry Corporation.
Group formation (1980s - 1990s)
In 1987, in order to integrate industry resources and promote the specialization of geological equipment manufacturing, "China Geological Equipment Group co.,Ltd." was established to uniformly manage its subordinate geological equipment manufacturing enterprises.
In the 1990s: With the reform of the market economy, the group began to promote enterprise restructuring and technological upgrading, and some of its subordinate enterprises introduced modern management systems.
Reform and Market-oriented Transformation (2000s - 2010s)
In the early 2000s, China National Machinery Industry Corporation Limited (Sinomach) was placed under the management of Sinomach and became its wholly-owned subsidiary.
In 2005, the group completed its corporate system reform and was officially renamed "China Geological Equipment Group co.,Ltd", further clarifying its market-oriented positioning.
In the 2010s: The group accelerated technological innovation, expanded its product line to cover fields such as geological exploration, mining machinery, and engineering drilling, and promoted international business.

I. Historical Accumulation: The Mission of Industry Founders (1950s-1980s)
In order to meet the needs of national geological exploration, the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources integrated a number of machinery manufacturers to establish a professional equipment research and development institution.
