Working principle of the nutrient fortifier screw extrusion granulator
The production process of the nutrient fortifier screw extrusion granulator passes through an automatic elevator to send the finely mixed material to the double cone feeder. The double cone forces the material to be evenly added to the main machine screw. Under the action of compression and shearing of the screw and external heating, the material is mixed and plasticized. The temperature and pressure gradually increase to show a viscous flow state, and pass through the die with a certain pressure, extrude and cut into grains, and finally obtain the particles of the required shape.

(2) Barrel: It is a metal cylinder, generally made of alloy steel or composite steel pipes lined with alloy steel that are heat-resistant, high compressive strength, strong, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. The barrel cooperates with the screw to realize crushing, softening, melting, plasticizing, venting and compaction of the plastic, and continuously and evenly deliver the rubber material to the molding system. Generally, the length of the barrel is 15 to 30 times the diameter, based on the principle that the plastic is fully heated and fully plasticized.
(3) Hopper: The bottom of the hopper is equipped with a cutting device to adjust and cut off the material flow. The side of the hopper is equipped with a viewing hole and a calibration metering device.
(4) Machine head and mold: The machine head is composed of an alloy steel inner sleeve and a carbon steel outer sleeve. The machine head is equipped with a forming mold. The role of the machine head is to transform the rotating plastic melt into parallel linear motion, and introduce it evenly and smoothly. In the mold sleeve, and give the plastic the necessary forming pressure. The plastic is plasticized and compacted in the barrel, and flows into the machine head forming mold through the porous filter plate along a certain flow channel through the neck of the machine head. The mold core and mold sleeve are properly matched to form an annular gap with a continuously decreasing cross-section, allowing the plastic melt to form a continuous and dense tubular coating around the core wire. In order to ensure that the plastic flow passage in the machine head is reasonable and eliminate dead corners where plastic is accumulated, a shunt sleeve is often placed. In order to eliminate pressure fluctuations during plastic extrusion, pressure equalizing rings are also set up.
(5) The main machine barrel is heated electrically and the barrel temperature is automatically controlled by water cooling. The screw core can be cooled with water (oil) to control the screw temperature. The head is equipped with a pressure sensor to test the melting temperature and pressure.
The air-cooled die surface heating, granulating auxiliary machinery, and rotating blade are driven by AC motor and speed regulation by frequency conversion; the dewatering and drying system consists of a centrifugal dehydrator, a rolling barrel vibrating screen, an air-blown storage bin, etc.
Application Range
Single screw extrusion unit is mainly used for filling, blending, modification, addition, chlorination, polypropylene and super absorbent resin processing of rubber, plastic and engineering resins; extrusion of degradable masterbatch, polyamide polycondensation, polyurethane addition reaction; granulation of carbon powder and magnetic powder, preparation of insulation materials, sheath materials for cables, low-smoke, non-halogen flame retardant PVC cable materials and various silane cross-linking materials, etc. Small models are mainly used for scientific research and teaching.
