product Overview
The small-flow centrifugal extractor is a small-scale equipment with a drum diameter of less than 50 mm. It is specially designed for the development of the extraction and separation process of trace materials. It uses centrifugal force to replace gravity to achieve rapid mixing and efficient separation of two-phase liquids. It is especially suitable for handling systems that are easy to emulsify, have small density differences or have high viscosity. This machine is an ideal tool for conducting feasibility studies of new processes, optimizing extraction parameters and producing small batches of high-value products. You can choose the appropriate drum material according to different processes and material properties.
working principle
1. mixed mass transfer process
The light and heavy two-phase solutions enter or are mixed into the cavity respectively according to a certain ratio. At this time, the two liquids are fully mixed, allowing solute to be transferred from one liquid phase to the other liquid phase, thus completing the mixing and mass transfer process.
2. separation process
The mixed liquid is driven by the web in the rotating drum to rotate synchronously with the rotating drum. Under the centrifugal force field, the two phases separate from each other, and the heavy phase liquid with a large specific gravity gradually moves away from the center of the drum and leans towards the drum wall during the upward flow; the light phase liquid with a small specific gravity gradually moves away from the drum wall and leans towards the center. * The final two-phase liquids enter the collection chamber through their respective weir plates and are taken out of the machine by a draft pipe to complete the two-phase separation process.
Features Introduction
1. Miniature design: The drum diameter is 50mm, the structure is compact, the floor area is small, and the amount of material required is extremely small, which effectively reduces the cost of experimental raw materials.
2. Efficient separation: Under the high-speed centrifugal force field, mixing mass transfer and phase separation are completed instantly, and the separation efficiency is extremely high. It can handle materials that are difficult to separate in traditional separation funnels.
3. Flexible and simple operation: It is usually equipped with a frequency conversion speed regulation function, which can accurately control the speed (mixing intensity) to adapt to different physical materials; it is fast to start and stop, and it is convenient to clean and maintain.
4. Visual working conditions: Most designs use rotary drums or covers made of transparent materials (such as PC) to facilitate direct observation of internal mixing and separation conditions and assist process research.
5. Various materials are available: The core contact parts can be made of stainless steel, Hastelloy, titanium or perfluorinated materials. They have excellent corrosion resistance and are suitable for strong acid, strong alkali and organic solvent environments.
