product Overview
SPE molecular distillation, also known as short path distillation, is a distillation method that operates under high vacuum. It relies on the difference in the mean free path of molecular motion of the mixture to allow liquids to be rapidly separated at temperatures well below their boiling point.
working principle
SPE molecular distillers generally consist of jacketed cylinders, rotor systems and an internal condenser. After the mixed material enters the cylinder, it passes through the action of the distributor and the rotor scraper to form a thin film on the heated surface on the inner wall of the cylinder and flow downward in a spiral path. During this process, volatile components (light molecules) in the mixture evaporate, and the vapor passes through a short path, contacts the internal condenser for condensation, and then travels along the condenser to the bottom of the equipment and is discharged. Non-volatile components and steam condensate flow down the inner wall of the cylinder and are discharged from the heavy component outlet on the side of the cylinder. Residual steam and inert gas are discharged to the vacuum system through the secondary steam outlet.
Features Introduction
SPE molecular distillation has a high vacuum, and the temperature is low during operation, far lower than the boiling point of the system; molecular distillation also has the advantages of short heating time and high separation efficiency, so it has good separation effect in easily oxidizable substances and is particularly suitable for purification of temperature-sensitive and high-boiling substances; since the separation process does not include chemical reactions, it can well protect the separated substances from being contaminated and maintain the original quality of the extract.

Application fields and cases
Due to its efficient and gentle separation characteristics, molecular distillation is widely used in many industries such as food, pharmaceutical, chemical, environmental protection, petroleum, flavors and fragrances. It can effectively separate and purify heat-sensitive, high-boiling, and high-viscosity substances and improve product purity and quality.
1. Food industry: Separation and purification of oils, flavors, etc.
2. Pharmaceutical industry: Used to separate and purify pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and natural extracts
3. Chemical industry: used to separate high-boiling-point, heat-sensitive chemicals
4. Environmental protection industry: used for waste oil recycling and organic waste treatment
5. Petroleum industry: used for the separation and purification of crude oil and petroleum products
