Powerscreen is a global manufacturer of aerial work vehicles and material handling equipment committed to providing life-cycle solutions to maximize customers 'return on investment. The main brands include Terex, Gini, Powerscreen, Ecotec, TWS, MPS, etc., which widely serve the construction industry, infrastructure, manufacturing, transportation, energy, utilities, quarrying and mining industries.
The origins of Powerscreen can be traced back to 1933, when George A. Armington founded Euclid, which manufactures dump trucks. The name Terex was coined in 1970 by then-owner General Motors and comes from the Latin words "earth and" king."
In 1924, George A. Arminton invented the first power shovel, and in 1907, he and his sons founded Arminton Electric Crane Company. In 1933, Euclid Company (predecessor of Terex) was founded to design and manufacture dump trucks.
In 1953, General Motors acquired Euclid, expanding its business to more than half of all off-highway dump truck sales in the United States.
In 1970, General Motors named the Euclid product "Terex". The "Terex Division" business focuses on the production of crawler traction equipment, loaders and power shovels.
1974-1976, manufacturing the world's first off-highway truck (1zTrac-Truk), the first dual-powered truck-the Terex Model 33-19 Titan, and the British Army's first TS-8, a four-wheel-drive twin-engine shovel that can be transported by air to the bulldozer (TC-12) and the largest.
1991-1993 Terex is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and mainly produces trucks, earthmoving, construction and mining equipment.
In 1999, Terex acquired PowerscreenFinlay Simplicity Engineering Cedarapids and Franna
2001-2002, Terex acquired Canica and Jaques(Australia) and added Terex crushing and screening production lines. Acquired Genie, Fuchs and Advance Mixer.
In 2003, Terex Financial Services provided equipment financing to customers.
In 2009, Terex brands Cedarapids Simplicity°, Canica and Jaques combined to form an integrated crushing and screening production line called Terex Mineral Processing Systems (MPS). All four companies are leaders in manufacturing high-quality, reliable MPS products.
In 2011, Terex established a factory in Changzhou, China, serving as AWP's product development, parts distribution and service center in China.
2012-2015, acquisition of Recom, and Continental Biomass Newton,NewHampshire and Neuson Ecotec formed CBI and Terex Ecotec
2017, POWERSCREEN mobile crushing and screening officially entered the China market
In 2019, a new factory "Campsie" was established in Delhi, Northern Ireland to manufacture equipment for Terex Ecotec's waste management and recycling and mobile conveyor belts, while expanding its MP manufacturing plant in Hosur, India.
In 2020, Terex launched a series of positive measures to deal with the global impact of COVID-19. Terex expanded its factory in Changzhou, China to meet China's demand for AWP products and achieved the "first steel".
In 2021, a mobile crushing and screening production base was established in Jiading, Shanghai, China, namely Shanghai Fantaike Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., to promote the growth of its crushing and screening business in the China market.
The acquisition of MDS International, a world-renowned manufacturer of heavy duty and recycling rollers, apron feeders and conveyor systems, further diversifies and complements MP's business and production.
Fuchs grabber enters the China market and is put into production at its Changzhou factory to supply the global market
In 2022, the acquisition of ProAll International Manufacturing Inc further develops our global footprint and market share in the concrete mixing and transportation industry.
