In 1926, Josef Empl I acquired a 200-year-old forging factory and began to produce agricultural equipment, which was already famous throughout Austria at that time.
In the 1940s, Josef Empl II founded EMPL Fahrzeugwerk Gesellschaft m.b.H. in Kaltenbach, Austria. The company's predecessor was the Alpine Vehicle Manufacturer. More than half a century has passed. Ampp has grown from a forging factory with only three people at the beginning of its establishment to a world-class manufacturer of vehicle jackets and special trailer products.
