Quintus means fifth in Latin and is the fifth invention of the inventor of the technology, hence the name. Since its inception, Quintus has been committed to the development and application of high-voltage technology. There are three main products under the brand, rubber bladder press, hot isostatic pressing press and HPP ultra-high pressure processing equipment.

Quintus Technolgies was originally an independent division of the Swedish company ASEA. In the 1950s, equipment for producing synthetic diamonds was developed and further evolved into hot isostatic pressing equipment and rubber bag forming equipment. At that time, ASEA brand was adopted, and later ASEA evolved into ABB after Quintus equipment also changed to ABB as a trademark. After Quintus became independent from ABB, AVURE became the new brand for all Quintus products.
