OM Manufacturing Co., Ltd.: Machine tools are mainly vertical lathes and are well-known as a vertical lathe manufacturer in Japan and even in the world. The industry and customers have given the reputation of OM(Vertical Rotary OM), a vertical lathe expert. Japan is the only machine tool manufacturer with vertical carriages as its main business. It has achieved 80% of Japan's domestic share in the field of medium and large vertical carriages. Railway wheel processing machine tools are the only equipment supplier of railway maintenance equipment in Japan.

In 1906, the Nagaoka Iron Works Cooperative was established in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, and began manufacturing oil drilling machines.
1913 Nagaoka Iron Works Co., Ltd. changed its name to Nagaoka Iron Works Co., Ltd.(Joint Stock Company)
In 1920, Osaka Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established in Nishi-ku, Osaka City, and began to produce machine tools and forging machinery
1923 Osaka Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. built the Osaka factory in Nishiyodoga-ku, Osaka
1934 Izumo Weaving (later renamed Daiwa Textile) built a Sendao factory in Kyodo Town, Shimane Prefecture
1936 Osaka Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Nagaoka Iron Works Co., Ltd. merged
1937 Osaka Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. began producing vertical lathes
1949 Daiwa Textile was separated from the Xingdao Factory and established Daiwa Machinery Industries Co., Ltd.(Company Headquarters: East District, Osaka City)
1950 Daiwa Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. merged and changed its name to OM Textile Machinery Co., Ltd.
1951. OM Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. relocated its headquarters to Nishiyodogawa District, Osaka City
1952 OM Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. was listed on the First Section of the Osaka Stock Exchange
1955. OM Textile Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. relocated its headquarters to Shibei District, Osaka
1956 Osaka Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. began producing automatic packaging machinery
1960 OM Textile Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Osaka Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. merged, and the company name was changed to OM Manufacturing Co., Ltd.(Company headquarters: Osaka Shibei District)
1965 The Osaka factory was relocated from Nishiyodogawa District, Osaka City to Kishiki, Osaka Prefecture
1971 The company was listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
1991 The company headquarters was relocated to Yodogawa District, Osaka City
2001 The Osaka factory was merged into the Sendao factory
Established OM (US.A.) in the United States in 2004 INC
2007 Established Shanghai office in Shanghai, China
