Flottweg is the world's leading manufacturer of mechanical solid-liquid separation equipment with a history of more than 70 years. Products include horizontal screw settling centrifuges, disc separators, belt filter presses, complete systems, etc., and are widely used in municipal sewage, oil sludge treatment, food and beverage, medicine, chemical industry, environmental protection and other industries. Flottweg centrifuges are all manufactured in Germany, with reliable quality and excellent performance, and are widely trusted by users.
Flottweg has 12 branches around the world. It entered the China market in 1986 and established a domestic maintenance center in Shanghai in 2000, making it easier for further exchanges and cooperation with domestic users.
1911: Gustav Otto, son of the inventor of the gasoline engine, founded the Gustav Otto Aviation Machinery Factory in Munich, Germany. In March 1916, the company merged with the Bavarian Aircraft Factory, which later became Bayerische Motorenwerke, the predecessor of BMW.
1920: Otto builds a new factory and develops a two-wheeled vehicle with an auxiliary engine, naming it Flottweg. In the 1920s, the factory produced Flottweg motorcycles.
1932: Dr. Georg Bruckmayer obtained the right to use the name "Flottweg"* and created the "Flottweg Engine Factory".
1943: Munich was bombarded by artillery during World War II and the company had to relocate to Fort Firsby, 60 kilometers northeast of Munich. After the end of World War II, the company produced precision parts for the printing industry.
1956: Flottweg centrifuge. In the 1950s, the company began developing centrifuges as a second business unit. In 1956, the first Flottweg centrifuge model Z1 was delivered to BASF AG in Ludwigshafen.
In 1989, Flottweg established international sales and service offices in France and Russia.
In 1990, Flottweg expanded to the United States, the United Kingdom and China, setting up sales and service offices respectively.
In 1998, Flottweg acquired Italian centrifuge manufacturer Veronesi. Centrifuges were first produced in Italy, but later Flottweg only produced them in Fort Firsbyburg, Germany.
Established a subsidiary in China in 1999. In 1999, the sales office in Shanghai, China became a subsidiary. Now, Flottweg China has a history of 20 years.
2002: Flottweg becomes an independent company again. Flottweg management acquired a majority stake in the company. After independence, a subsidiary company was established in Mexico in 2003: Flottweg México S.A. de C.V。
In 2007, the U.S. sales office became a subsidiary company "Flottweg American Separation Technology Company", which is the largest branch of the Flottweg Group.
Flottweg Australia Private Limited was established in 2011.
In 2012, after formal commercial registration, Flottweg was transformed into Flottweg SE Europe AG. The company formed a new entity SE (European Joint Stock Company) as a legal entity within the EU. Flottweg has expanded the scale of its international business to unprecedented levels and further integrated its European subsidiaries.
In the same year, Flottweg established a subsidiary in Brazil: Flottweg do Brasil.
In 2015, Flottweg Peru was established: Flottweg Peru SAC.
In 2016, the Fort Filsby headquarters was expanded. Since the management buyout in 2002, Flottweg has invested more than € 60 million in its headquarters.
2017 Established Flottweg Polska Polish company
Flottweg Polska Polish company was established in 2017. The company, based in Warsaw, Poland, aims to improve its services to local customers.
In 2018, the No. 2 factory broke ground. The company made the largest investment in its history. Fort Filsby officially begins construction of a new factory. Through Plant 2 in Lower Bavaria, the company is committed to achieving long-term brand commitments and first-class quality "Made in Germany".
