URT GmbH was founded in Germany in 1995 by owners and managing directors Peter Heßler and Thomas Gundersdorf. Formerly known as UNTHA Recycling Technik GmbH, or URT for short, was a differentiation from the UNTHA brand crushing technology company established in 1970 to specifically respond to the growing demand for system solutions. Then, with the development of its influence, URT gradually became a familiar brand in the electronic waste treatment industry. As a result, the company changed its name to URT.
As early as 1995, when URT was established, Europe began to stop the use of Freon in refrigerators, and at the same time required environmentally friendly disposal of scrapped refrigerators, especially the recycling and disposal of the Freon refrigerants and blowing agents contained in them. Based on this, URT officially launched the refrigerator processing system equipment manufacturing business to provide customers with environmentally friendly refrigerator dismantling lines that meet weee regulations. Its core equipment is a four-axis shredder. Different from other solutions in the industry, the four-axis shredder has natural advantages in the field of electronic waste crushing. Its advantages of low speed and high torque, safety and environmental protection, low energy consumption and low loss have gradually been recognized by the market, and has eventually become the * competitive electronic waste equipment brand in Europe. In the nearly 30 years since its establishment, URT has always adhered to the field of electronic waste and has become an expert in the following factory engineering fields:
- Refrigerator recycling
- Mixed home appliance electronic waste SDA and IT recycling
- Recycling of large home appliances
- Printed circuit board recycling
