Sumitomo Heavy Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 1888. Its predecessor was the Biezi Tongshan Repair Factory. Sumitomo Heavy Machinery established branches in Taiwan in 1990, Hong Kong in 1993, Shanghai in 2000, and Dongguan in 2006, thereby further expanding its sales market in China.
The Plastic Machinery Division affiliated to Sumitomo Heavy Machinery has a long history of more than 50 years. Since the establishment of Chiba Manufacturing in 1965, it has manufactured and sold various models of injection molding machines. At first, we started the injection molding machine business through technical cooperation with Netstal in Germany: in 1980, we started selling the SG series of self-developed models; in 1990, we started selling the SE series of all-electric injection molding machines, and our status in the industry has also increased day by day. In 2008, through the acquisition of German DEMAG Company, it added sales bases in Europe and improved sales performance.
