Marposs Group entered China in 1986 and quickly established a strong sales and service network in the China market, quickly responding to the development speed of the China market. After 2000, it established its own factory in Nanjing, covering an area of 39,500 square meters. It is based on the same quality as the Italian headquarters and has become the benchmark for Marposs manufacturing center in the Asia-Pacific market. Marposs Group has more than 3,500 employees in 34 countries around the world and more than 80 sales offices. Currently, there are three solution centers in China, located in Shanghai, Nanjing and Shenzhen, with services radiating across the country.
In 1952, Mario Possati (1922-1990) founded Marposi Company in Bologna, Italy. He built the first machining equipment for inspecting parts during grinding, thereby improving the quality and quantity of machine tool parts.
In 1962, ten years after its establishment, the company gained a foothold in the domestic market and opened its first office in Germany.
In 1963, Marposs crossed the ocean to the United States. The main factory is currently located in Auburn Hills, a suburb of Detroit, the automobile capital of the United States.
In 1970, 18 years after the company was founded, Marposs opened its first office in Japan.
The company entered the Asian market in the mid-1980s, with the first two countries being China and South Korea.
Marposs currently has directly established its own sales and service organizations in more than 25 countries and a network of agents and dealers in a dozen other countries.
