"GTA- the upper level Company". The slogan plays a pun summary of the main characteristics of GTA and its subsidiaries. On the one hand, the high level represents that GTA's mechanical systems are operating on high-rise working faces in mining and tunnels. The unique technologies of these systems reflect the core competitiveness and uniqueness of GTA. On the other hand, GTA's mechanical systems have always been at a high level in terms of design, reliability and durability. Maintaining a high level of project progress has always been GTA's survival as a medium-sized enterprise.
Roof support has been a arduous and dangerous task in the history of coal mining around the world. Because there are no suitable machinery to reduce work intensity and ensure safety, miners can only build temporary support themselves, and excavation efficiency is low.
In 1979, engineer Mr. Hestkamp founded GTA with the purpose of improving working conditions for miners. GTA invented and implemented upper-space operations and introduced a drive system for them. Prior to that, upper-space was not utilized at all.
This breakthrough innovation has been widely used at the national and international levels in Germany. The improvements it has brought to the coal mining industry are significant, such as doubling of excavation efficiency, significant reduction in fatal accident rates, and significant improvement in tunnel quality.
The innovative application of GTA's mechanical systems in the field of coal mining has also won the favor of the tunnel industry. In addition to European roads, railways, subway tunnels, pumped storage power stations, cable tunnels and other projects, GTA's machinery and equipment are exported to tunnel construction fronts on all continents. During this period, GTA has always adhered to the founding purpose of its founder, Mr. Hestkamp, that is, to creatively use the upper working space in order to improve working conditions. The * representative example is: the longest tunnel to date, the Gotthard Tunnel in Switzerland used the tunnel support system TAM developed by GTA for the first time to cope with the huge mountain pressure in the project; the London Underground Tunnel Project used the uphill boring robot developed by GTA for the first time to overcome the limited space for road construction in London.
Deeper excavation depths require support technology that can withstand higher rock pressures, and longer roadways require smart and efficient transportation technology solutions. GTA is committed to developing the best construction machinery for both technologies.
Deeper excavation increases the pressure in the rock formation, so the support of the tunnel roof requires special treatment, such as the installation of steel arches weighing 44kg/meter, concrete shotcrete filling the gap between the rock formation/coal seam, installation of anchor rods, etc. According to worldwide statistics, installing steel beams with a total weight of 150kg in unprotected places is a arduous and dangerous task.
Over the past 40 years, GTA has continuously improved its mechanical system for operating in the upper space. This system is particularly suitable for mines with a depth of 800 meters and above. For example, GTA's tunnel support platform has been widely promoted in coal mines with a depth of 1,000 meters in Germany, and has also been successfully applied in China. A series of mechanical equipment developed by GTA deeply integrates deep well support technology and creates new working faces for excavation operations, enhancing safety, reducing labor intensity and improving excavation efficiency.
