SANOVO TECHNOLOGY GROUP, originally known as SANOVO ENGINEERING A/S, was co-founded by Lactosan and the Danish Tøræg factory. SANOVO Levnedsmidler A/S was founded in Odense, Denmark in November 1961. The main goal was the production and trade of food, but soon the company also decided to enter the production of egg beaters.

Why is it called Sanovo?
The new SANOVO name is a compound of SAN and OVO:

Ovo is the Latin word for egg.
In June 1979, the new company SANVO Engineering A/S was established to continue production and became a 100% owned subsidiary of Lactosan-SANVO Holdings (today known as ThornICO). nbsp;
